6-18: Paris to Chartres
Our plans for today are:
Giverny, Monet's Gardens
the tiny, beautiful village of Auvers-sur-Oise where Van Gogh spent the last 70 days of his life, painting profusely, also where he killed himself...we will stand in the wheat fields he painted and where he shot himself, we will visit his and his borther Theo's grave, the famous Church at Auvers that he painted, and we will visit the Maison Van Gogh, the tiny garret where he lived, and the room in which he died; paint if time
On to Chartres, where we get to see the greatest Gothic Cathedral in the world all lit up at night
